The pass mark is 14 of 20. If your result is lower, nothing irreversible has happened: the exam can be taken again, and this is common for people who studied from a translation and are not used to Lithuanian wording.
Retake rules
- The number of attempts is unlimited. The Migration Information Centre confirms this directly.
- Every attempt is paid again: 21 € when registering in MIGRIS.
- You register for the next session the same way as the first time. There is no waiting period between attempts, but the next session is usually six to eight weeks away, and registration closes about 15 days before it.
- The language exam certificate does not have to be retaken; it stays valid.
Reported: under NŠA rules a negative result can be appealed within 5 working days through the school where you took the exam. The 2026 memo does not repeat this point; check with the school.
What to change in your preparation
- Ask the school for your score. 12 or 13 means you lacked attention and number drill; 8 or 9 means the language is the problem.
- If the language is the problem, read the Constitution in “LT + translation” mode, chapters V, VI and VII: the Seimas, the President, the Government. These chapters give half of the questions.
- Learn the terms to 90% in the Terms section. The exam catches you on words, not facts: kadencija, apkalta, nutarimas, dekretas, ne mažiau kaip.
- Collect all numbers in the Numbers section and repeat them on the morning of the exam.
- Take the mock exam every day until you steadily score 17 or 18 of 20. The “My mistakes” mode brings wrong questions back until you answer them correctly twice.
